Terms of Use

Polaris (the "Service") is a platform for aggregating, analyzing and synthesizing public financial data. These terms govern the use of the Service by any person accessing it. By using Polaris, you accept these terms in their entirety.

The Service is intended for persons aged 18 or older. By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 18. Any data relating to a minor user will be deleted upon discovery.

The Service provides information for educational and reflective purposes. It does not constitute:

• personalized investment advice;
• a recommendation to buy or sell securities;
• an offer of regulated financial services;
• a guarantee of returns or performance.

Polaris is not registered with the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) of Quebec, nor with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). Users remain solely responsible for their investment decisions and are encouraged to consult a registered professional before any transaction.

The data presented comes from third-party sources (notably Polygon.io, FRED, Bank of Canada, Finnhub, Yahoo Finance, multpl.com) and from summaries generated by artificial intelligence models (Anthropic Claude). While we make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, we do not guarantee completeness, real-time updates, or absence of errors.

AI-specific disclaimer: analyses generated by Claude may contain inaccuracies, misinterpretations, or statements that don't reflect current reality (a phenomenon known as "hallucination"). Any AI analysis should be verified against primary sources before being used in a financial decision.

The user is responsible for the confidentiality of their credentials. Any activity carried out from an account is deemed to have been performed by its holder. Accounts are strictly personal and non-transferable.

Pro and Elite plans are billed monthly or annually. A 7-day free trial is offered with the first subscription to a paid plan; it can be cancelled at no cost before the end of that period.

Web payments (via Stripe): subscription auto-renews unless cancelled by the user from their account. No refund is granted for periods already started, except in exceptional cases at our sole discretion.

iOS In-App Purchases (App Store): if you subscribe via the iOS app, your payment is processed directly by Apple under their own terms. Management, cancellation and refunds are handled from your Apple ID account settings. Apple may apply a commission on transactions.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, index, or automatically harvest the Service's content (e.g., via bots, crawlers, or scripts);
• Resell, redistribute, or commercialize the analyses, scores, or content generated by the Service without written authorization;
• Use the Service for illegal, fraudulent activities or activities contrary to the rules of a regulated exchange;
• Attempt to bypass quota limits, rate limits, or security measures;
• Share your account with others or create multiple accounts to bypass free-tier limits;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access unpublished source code.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, without notice or refund.

Polaris offers community spaces (ticker comments, chat rooms, public profiles). By posting content, you agree to a zero-tolerancepolicy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour.

The following is strictly prohibited and will be removed:

• harassment, hate, threats, targeted insults;
• spam, advertising, solicitation, scam links;
• market manipulation (pump & dump, guaranteed-return promises);
• illegal or sexually explicit content, or impersonation;
• disclosure of private contact information (yours or others').

To enforce this policy: (1) every post passes through automated moderation before it goes live; (2) you can report any content and block any user directly from the app; (3) reported content is automatically hidden past a threshold and reviewed by our team, which commits to removing objectionable content and suspending or ejecting offending accounts within 24 hours, without notice. Accepting this clause is required before your first community post.

The editorial content, code, generated analyses, and the "Polaris" brand remain the exclusive property of their holder. Any reproduction without written authorization is prohibited. You retain ownership of your personal data (theses, notes, watchlists), while granting us a non-exclusive license to process them for Service purposes.

To the extent permitted by law, Polaris and its operators shall not be held liable for losses, missed gains, or direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of the Service. Past performance does not predict future returns. No information presented constitutes a guarantee of outcome.

The Service is provided "as is" without guarantee of uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Substantial changes will be notified by email or through the application at least 30 days before they take effect. Users may terminate their account at any time from the "Account" section.

We also reserve the right to assign this contract and your data as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to prior notification and the acquirer's commitment to honor these terms.

These terms are governed by the law in force in Quebec (Canada). Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of the Montreal district, to the exclusion of any other court.
